I hate this printer. Connection issues since day one. You have to work through their smart hp app to make it usable. Had to actually look up how to print photos. This coming from a lifelong HP user. They are not making life easier. I would never have purchased this product knowing what I know now. Very slow to connect and very slow to print.
I had a great HP printer for years. With the windows 11 update HP disabled my driver and forced me to purchase a new printer. The new printer it's the most cumbersome I've experienced. The paper tray doesn't have a way of locking in the size and when it slips when you close the tray it detects a larger size paper. The printer cartridges don't like to stay in place they pop out. Unless you are using the HP smart app on your PC the features the printer is supposed to have are not accessible such as two-sided printing.. I'm very disappointed in the way HP is changing their way of doing business. The quality of this printer is nothing like my old one. There is a notable change in everything they are doing and it's very disheartening. HP used to be the best on the market
for over 20 years I have bought only HP computers and printers and always been satisfied. That is now officially over. I have it connected to PC#1 by ethernet and to PC#2 and a Laptop wirelessly. PC#2 keeps getting a message PRINTER IS OUT OF PAPER. It's not. One page printed from the LAPTOP 4 times spontaneously in a 24-hour period (I only hit PRINT once). Additionally, the paper tray is not sturdy and paper slides around causing misfeeds; it also has fed batches of about 10 sheets at once causing jams and wasting paper. The touch screen is cumbersome and requires a heavy touch. It's noisy and takes a long time to print after clicking PRINT. All this came to light in the first 30 days fortunately and I am returning the printer. I am VERY disappointed. I have read that HP has had internal business problems. It's unfortunate and I hope they are able to get it together, but today I have purchased a printer from a different brand.
I may have to send this back. It keeps saying it's out of paper when it's not. I add MORE paper, and it still won't print. Then I get a pop up message on my PC that says there is a problem with my printer. Duh! I have to constantly unplug and replug to reset it so it will print. Wish I had kept my old printer. This one is a pain. It may fly home to wherever it came from soon.
Set-up is a PAIN IN THE POSTERIOR! Also, I purchased this printer because it very clearly stated that it takes ink from any manufacturer. Now the printer is trying to strong-arm me into accepting software updates that will make this printer only compatible with HP-branded ink cartridges. BATE and SWITCH!!!
