I used the Windows HP Smart app to get a refill. Unfortunately it is the wrong one and will not work in my printer.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I am sorry that the cartridge is not working in your printer. That has to be distressing.

no my printer rendering my 3rd party cartridges useless (until I swap the chips out which I plan on doing when the HP cartridges run dry). Better yet, the firmware update disabled the wired and wireless networking capability of the printer. While this is a known issue with the update, HP has done nothing to rectify it, let alone provide any troubleshooting assistance. It's taken me about a week to figure out how to get the printer to work again on my own. You can bet that I've disabled the automatic firmware up dates on the printer and that I will never buy another genuine HO product again.
