So much more space

The stand is a little tall but I just adjusted my chair and it works just fine. Actually helps me not to slouche so much. Worked fine for my 27" wide screen monitor. The monitor hangs over each side by about 1.5" but the base of the monitor fits very nicely on the stand. Lots of space under my monitor now for storage and such.
If you don't have monitors that adjust by themselves this stand might not be helpful. But if you do this is a nice out of the box stand that provides the right space underneath the monitor for organization of some of the smaller desk items while raising the monitor so that you eye height is center to your monitor. This will benefit long term your neck and drastically reduce strain.
I purchased this monitor riser for a second monitor that I just installed on my computer at work. The first monitor that I have been using already was on a riser. This is important for reducing neck strain. Once I added the second monitor I had a problem because it was lower than the first one. This one fits my desk perfectly. It is just the right height. It has space underneath to hide some of the paperwork that I constantly have on my desk. It looks very modern and stylish. I even have some extra space for nick knacks.
We have multiple electronics throughout the house ranging from old VCRs dvd players game boxes laptops and satelite tv boxes. Often these devices when running generate heat on the underside and when placed on top of furniture that heat after a long period of time damages the surface the device sits on. This stand allows the electronics to sit off of the furniture surface thus eliminating the damage. The small holes in the surface of the stand allows the electronics to breath and ultimately helps keep them cooler. No mess no assembly-simple to use.
Does what it needs to do. It holds my laptop up so I am not looking down all day. My keyboard fits nicely under the stand. My neck no longer hurts which I attribute to the angle.
