I've suffered neck strain issues for years and finally realized that I was always looking down at my monitor instead of straight across. I originally tried some books but they seemed pretty unstable and they were hard to clean around. Finally I went to Staples on-line and chatted with the online assistant. He led me to a different monitor stand but I ordered this one when I saw just how much taller it was. The ordering was easy the product shipped fast and I fell in love with it the very first day I used it! I have used it everyday since and I am completely satisfied. It is nice to not always be hunching over!

Does the job

I was actually looking for a stand to elevate a small flat screen TV above a cable box and DVD player. This monitor stand does the trick for a reasonable price. What I dislike is that the surface is tilted back a bit rather than horizontal. Not sure why - there would be no advantage to that design if I were using it for a computer monitor. Much better to let the monitor stand firmly on a horizontal platform and be tilted up if desired on its own hinge.

Perfect for lap top

I bought a laptop that I use with an external monitor. I keep the laptop under the shelf with the monitor on top and external keyboard. So at home it is like a typical pc yet I can disconnect and travel with the laptop

This has been a big help in getting my monitor to the proper eye level. The added bonus is that it has also helped unclutter my desk.

We just had new computers and dual monitors installed at the office. This monitor stand helps save desk space and was well worth the cost.
