Am using to hold a 50" LCD television with the DVR underneath. It's attractive reasonably priced and does the job.

This is actually a monitor stand however I am using it as a laptop stand on my desk. Brings the laptop up to the perfect height for viewing eliminating neck strain. The stand is ventilated which helps to keep the laptop cooler. Also helps to maximize the desk space by allowing storage under the stand. My external hard drive keyboard and mouse all fit under the stand when not in use. Looked at diferent laptop stands at the Staples online site but ended up choosing this one because it was available in the local store.

Perfect for my works station

This large steel monitor riser is perfect for my new computer set-up at work. It is sturdy and easily supports my new larger monitor. The 5 inch space below easily accommodates my laptop and docking station for easy access when I need to take my laptop on the go. I also like the sleek modern style. The height of this 5" riser may not accommodate everybody...but this item also comes in a smaller size/height and that would probably suit others. I ordered a couple of the smaller models for my co-workers and they seem to like as well. Especially for their 2-monitor set-ups where they didn't really have room for the larger riser. Would definitely recommend.

I used this to elevate my 37" Samsung HDTV so I'd have room for a DVD player underneath. Works perfectly for that. Only caviat is the stand has some bounce factor if you press down on it. The 20" base of the TV just fits on top of the stand and holds the weight well. Other option was to buy the bigger size stand for [$]. Too much! This one was [$]. If not for the bounce factor I would give it 5 stars. Excellent product. Well made clean looking design looks really sharp with the TV and DVD player and gives me the extra room without buying TV furniture.

It is a really nice riser. It is nice and sturdy. It is a good height so I can have other things put underneath it. I would recommend it to anyone that can use this type of product. I am using mine with my computer and keyboard underneath.

Great HDTV Riser Alternative

I had purchased the Allsop Metal Art Monitor Stand as an alternate riser for my HDTV (Samsung UN46D6500 LED-LCD) instead of purchasing a dedicated TV riser and it was definitely worth it! Not only is the monitor stand capable of supporting the weight of my HDTV but the width of it fits the base/stand of my HDTV perfectly. I've had it probably a little over a month now as of this writing and so far no issues with the stand whatsoever! The only gripe I have is that it "opens" up on the front which sometimes wobbles when I'm changing the viewing angle of the TV because of the added pressure towards the front end but not enough to make my HDTV fall of the stand. Overall if you're looking for a high quality monitor/HDTV stand/riser at an affordable price then I highly would consider this as an option!
