This stand is sturdy. Not some cheap plastic stuff you find elsewhere. My son uses this stand to hold up his laptop higher for classes as well as gaming with a separate gaming keyboard. So it's not just for monitors necessarily. It's also ideal when using your laptop as your main home computer as well. 15 inch widescreen fits on top but if this stand was even a bit wider it would have been ideal to tuck a keyboard under or fit larger laptops too. Overall it's good. Solid.
