AS A MONITOR RISER IT ALSO ACCOMODATES STORAGE OF THE KEYBOARD WHEN NOT IN USE...& THE ONLY THING TO CONTEND W/ IS THE MOUSE ON MY DESK WHEN I'M JUST BROWSING THE WEB. IF I'M MAKING NOTE OF SOMETHING ONLINE I ACTUALLY HV ROOM FOR NOTEPAD ON MY DESK. THE ORIGINAL RISER I INTENDED TO BUY FR ANOTHER MANUFACTURER WAS IN GUNMETAL GREY BUT I LOOKED AROUND TO SEE I THERE WERE OTHERS AVAIL & FOUND STAPLES' PRV LBL VERSION IN BLK & FOR LESS!!

One thing about this product that would be an extra would've been to have a drawer that fitted in the space left open. It could've been included or purchased WITHOUT the drawer. The space underneath opened up space for the paper which freed up that space for other items! [...]

Nice stand. Raises my flat panel monitor to just the right height (eye level) and reduces the strain on my neck and shoulders. Metalic surface lets me use my "magnetic" holders to keep rubberbands paperclips etc within reach.

got 2 of these Standard Steel Monitor Riser - one for my monitor and one for my printer. They are prefect as they hold them both up quite well and give me more space on my desk to work on other things.

This was a space saver as well as a neck saver! My neck pain has gone away now that I don't have to look down at my monitor anymore.
