I have my scanner on the raiser giving me room underneath for papers files etc. instead of putting things on top of the scanner lid.

I use this to hold my cable box & a 24" flat-screen tv; underneath holds my dvd player. It could be just a tab bit stronger but it serves the purpose well enough for our bedroom where its out of the way. Great price for what we wanted it for.

I'm using it with a 20' acer monitor. I think that a larger monitor might require the next size up which is also available at Staples

I use the stand to hold a 26" flat screen tv above the cable box. It lets air circulate around the box & the height is just fine.
