I have owned a Keurig for 10 years. The same one. I use alkaline water and has never given me an issue. I purchased a new one last year, as we put our old one in our motorhome. The new one stopped working after 11 months. I called Keurig and they replaced it in 5 days. It was incredible. Great product and great service.
Every few years, when new features are available, we get a new Keurig. We got the K-Supreme Plus™ Single Serve Coffee Maker after using it at a friend's house because it brewed a noticeably more flavorful taste due to multiple streams of water. We also like the simplicity of operation with only minimal programming if you choose to set the cup size and temperature on any or all three preset buttons. There is no need to set auto on/off times because it takes only a few seconds to start brewing after pushing the brew button. And last but not least, the pitcher design is much better than the contoured tanks on earlier designs - quick and easy to remove and refill.
Long story short... just go get one and see for yourself.
