We have had 3 of these coffee makers over 6 years. After a couple of years there computer seems to have a melt down with flashing lites and no coffee making. This machine was not made for the long haul. we are only a family of two. We like the machine if it would only last. The 20% discount offered by Keurig was still more expensive than there sale price. Am I a fool to continue buying this product? We will see this could be the last one, if it don.t last 5 years.

Need help!

I received my K Supreme plus free as part of a review program. Got it set up up easily, did the initial rinse cycle, put in the included water filter (I also have a filter on my faucet). After brewing only 4, 8oz. cups the descale notice started flashing & only 2 oz. brewed. I ran 2 full reservoirs of white vinegar & water through (I do not like using chemicals) & 2 reservoirs to rinse. It now brews full, great tasting 10 oz. cups but still flashes descale. I even unplugged the unit thinking this would reset it somehow. White vinegar thoroughly cleans standard coffee makers very well. What can I try next?

Less than impressed

We have now had this keurig for 6 days. While this model looks nice, it’s splashing (hot) coffee all over our counter and the back of the coffee maker each time we make a cup. I don’t even stand up next to it because hot droplets are splashing from the dispenser itself and also splashing out of the coffee cup. (We use regular sized and over sized cups and it happens with both.)
Also, if I want to make just hot water (for tea), I have to run a first cup of hot water to get all of the coffee grounds out of the dispenser. I did not have this problem with our previous model (that we had for 2 years before it just stopped working one day) where you could choose an actual hot water button.
Pros- temp control, saves up to 3 person settings, and it looks nice.
Cons- splashes hot coffee/water over the counter during each use. For me, this factor alone outweighs the pros.

I purchased the original Keurig when it came out and have upgraded over the years. This new one is so excellent. Super fast heating. More choices for strength, heat, and size. The five holes in the top enhance the flavor of whatever beverage you are brewing. I highly recommend this coffee machine!

Could be Great But...

The only problem with this maker is it doesn't get the water hot enough. By the time I finish breakfast the coffee is barely lukewarm. Example: This morning I had 2 pieces of toast. The finishing half cup of coffee was lukewarm. I have one of the older model Keurig makers in my camper. It makes the coffee hot as it should be. I have had, over the years, at least 4 Keurig makers in my kitchen. all performed well until they prematurely crapped out. The K-500 was the best of the 4 but like the rest, its usefulness ended when the top could not be lowered. I measured the temp of the watter and it only reach 165 degrees. It should be 195-205 degrees. My wife wants it out of the kitchen. So do I but I paid for it so I have to get some use out of it. NO MORE KEURIGS IN MY HOME after I finally through this one out.
