Warranty replacement not working like new purchase

I think my warranty replacement is a refurbished unit. But I don't know that for sure. I bought upper end model in October and it decided to quit working the beginning of December. They did great and sent me a replacement but it certainly doesn't seem to perform as well. Takes 8-10 minutes to make a cup, has already asked for a descale and doesn't make a consistent size cup. Sometimes more or less than what is asked.
I bought this for the holidays, and on Christmas was excited about setting it up, however, there was no real "book" of instructions, and I am having trouble setting the options.

This Keurig is by far the best one I've owned! Makes a noticeably better brew. Love the Multi-stream technology & the 3 customizable presets! The only bad thing I can say is, all of my friends @ Duncan Donuts really miss me now!
Bought this to replace a Keurig Elite. First machine broke after one week. Keurig sent another K Supreme Plus. Didn’t work correctly from the start. Hot liquid spewed all over. Burned my hand. Sent it back and purchased another Elite. Newer isn’t always better.
This is my third Keurig and I have been pleased with all three. I do find that all three sputter and tend to leave a mess around the coffee maker. At least this last one is quieter than the last one and holds enough water that I can make several cups at a time.
