Maybe something is wrong with mine.

I've had this unit a little over a month now and it's erratic. I've read reviews that says it's awesome but mine isn't. The temperature fluctuates and I guess that's to be expected but the humidity jumps around for no apparent reason. It stays shut it's in my office. Right now the unit read 65 degrees but the digital hygrometer reads 72 degrees at 54% humidity. I've tried the sponge soaked with solution as well as Boveda packs. While I'm not an aficionado I do have 2 boxes of Cubans and some Monte Cristos I'd like not to mold as some have started doing. i bought this unit because all the reviews spoke of how easy it was to use, so far it doesn't feel that way at all. If anyone has suggestions I'd love to hear them.

I would buy again.

This humidor's great. I paired it with an Oasis electric humidifier (Excel) and any cigar storage worries were over. The set up was just plug both the humidor and the Oasis in, and that was that. 69/70 ever since here in Orlando. Bought a box of Padron 1964's and they're not only safe, but getting better. Highly recommended.

Love it but hygrometer doesn't work

I bought the cc-100h a few weeks ago and love it. However, the analog hygrometer it came with is useless. It is off my +/-10%. I put 2 digital hygrometers inside to confirm. The analog was reading 70% while the digitals confirmed it over 80% humidity. I'm glad I checked it, being off that much could have been catastrophic. I'm now looking for a round digital that will fit where the analog currently is. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Brad

Works fine. Temp display seems off

Setting temperature to 68 via adjustment buttons and the temp displays winds up at 63. Not sure which is accurate. Other than this it has worked fine since purchase.

Great Seal, Solid Temp Control

The unit arrived in sturdy packaging and initial setup was as simple as plugging it into the wall. I was a bit nervous at first, as there was a bit of an odd plastic-like odor upon opening the unit door. I let the unit sit open for several hours while running the fans to clear the smell, and then seasoned the shelves and let sit for about 24-36 hours with boveda packs of my selected humidity (69%), and set at my selected temperature (70 degrees). Everything normalized in that time period, and has held steady for several weeks now. I added about 20 sticks after the first 36 hours, and within an additional day the unit developed the typical delicious aroma you'd expect. Unlike other desktop humidors I've tried that have very poor seals, this unit has maintained a very consistent humidity and temp level. Sitting in my home office, the summer temp fluctuates about 10 degrees from 72-82 during the workday, depending on my thermostat settings. The unit maintains the programmed temp throughout these fluctuations. My digital hygrometer has the temperature within .1 degrees of the units measurement, so accurate there as well. So from the perspective of control and consistency, everything has been solid. In terms of look and feel, the SS exterior is visibly appealing, and the blue internal light adds a modern and appealing look. On the downside, the unit has a very specific shelf setup that doesn't allow for variability. Not really an issue for me, as my collection isn't vast or extensive, but I could see this being an issue for someone with more boxes, whereas I tend to have more singles. Secondarily, the internal hygrometer has been a bit inconsistent. I've measured it against a trued digital and it was a bit off. After adjustment, it's gone off again; all in all, don't expect it to be spot on consistent (mine is off about 5% RH). Not a deal breaker by any means, but if there had been a digital hygrometer installed in place of the analog, I'd have easily given this 5 stars.

Temperature control problems

I received this as a Christmas present and love everything about it other than I can't get the temperature above 65 degrees F. I have cigars with mold on them.
