It is said that need and want are two different thing. I had wanted a Bird's Bear knife for a while as my then current knife was at the end of its useful like. But I can say you need one of these. Does everything, from coring strawberries, removing stems from mushrooms to gently pealing apples. I have many bearing knifes, but this knife seems to eb my go to knife for any other things. It is soupier sharp so be careful. So pleased with my purchase.

Great knife - use it to peel navel oranges, cucumber slices, scrape carrots. Just like the size and dexterity to core tomatoes, seed peppers, etc…

Love the size & shape of this for paring apples, especially. I'm sure it would do great for many things, but that is how I will mainly use it. So easy to maneuver. Perfect size for a woman's hand.
