Inexpensive, LARGE fire pit

I purchased this fire pit to replace an older, rusting pit. There's not really too much to fire pits like this, a bowl, usually 3 legs, a log grate and spark screen.
This fire pit for the money is pretty nice. It's not no-frills but it's also not high end either.
It's larger than most fire pits which makes for a nicer experience (but needs more wood to feel filled up) and comes with a cover to help it last longer between uses.
I'd definitely purchase this same model again.

Attractive Fire Pit

This fire pit is attractive and good size. Received in May 2020, paint is peeling and net seems to be rusting. I have had pit covered since I have had it, disappointing.

Very nice affordable wood burner

Easy to assemble. Looks nice. Great features and a value for the money. Works really well. That mesh on the sides really lets the air feed the fire!
Cons: you get what you pay for. Screen started rusting after the first rain. Just gonna touch it up with some stove black and good as new.

While I have not use it yet, the assembly went okay with another person helping. The firepit is lightweight and appears sturdy. However the pictures are terrible in the assembly directions. They need to be reshot and rewritten so it is easier to read and follow.

Sunnydaze 36" Fire Pit

I followed suggestions of previous reviewers and gave the new fire pit two coats of heat resistant Rustoleum. Then I added two inches of play sand to the bottom to keep the bottom cooler and the fire off the metal bottom. Finally — and most crucially — I bought a 24" cast iron grate to build the fire in. This allows the fire to start easily and it keeps it off the bottom. The ring around the fire pit remains cool during a fire — a great advantage: you don't burn yourself bumping against the fire pit in the dark, etc. The cover works very well; I always keep it covered when not in use. I plan to touch up the fire pit at the end of the season with the Rustoleum to make sure no rust spreads. This is an excellent item — highly recommended, with the modifications mentioned above.
