Very quiet

Bought this for a secondary bedroom. Installation was easier than expected, but blade attachment is tedious and you must be careful with screws. This was my first experience installing a ceiling fan of any type. I did it by myself with tall ladder. Would buy and install again.

2nd fan better

The first Comet, I returned because it was making a clicking noise. This second Comet is still making some noise (perhaps Resonance) but better. I might try putting a rubber gasket between the motor assembly and canopy or rubber washers between mounting bracket and ceiling box. There is no canopy screw cover plate like some other ceiling fans, ie the four mounting screw always show. If you flush mount it, like I did, make sure you check the fit of the mounting bracket to the down rod coupling BEFORE you mount the bracket to the ceiling.

We love the fan. Fits beautifully with our decor. Wiring to ceiling was simple. Putting the blades in place was doable, but certainly not easy. Other than that....it's great!

Wonderful fan that looks and operates great

I bought this fan because it's unobtrusive and rated top in Consumer Reports. It was a bit challenging to install (probably because I don't do it often) but works and looks great!

Clicking noise every revolution

Flush mount install not the smoothest, mounting bracket would not slide over set screws. Since the set screws are used for the down rod only, I just removed one. The bottom of the mounting bracket then hit one of the screws that is below the set screws.
Started out with some motor noise but after removing my old wall switch / fan speed controller the motor noise went away. The remaining problem that will cause me to return this unit is that is makes a clicking noise every revolution of the blades.

Great fan

Love this fan because it’s so quiet. Just installed a second one with the remote control in another bedroom. Well designed and an Easy install, I took my time and did it in about 2.5 hours. Thanks for including an extra bolt for the fan blade motor mount. I dropped one during install and it disappeared from the face of the earth….

Light on Comet 52" ceiling fan

Light appears not to be dimmable, or at least there are no directions for how to do it. As is, the light is much to glaring for many uses (e.g., bedroom). Suggest different color glass plates AND explicit directions.
