I love this little light

I purchased this light 4 or 5 years ago because I needed a handy light for my work, and the cell phone app is a joke. I have carried this little light everyday since, and have been amazed at how often I use it.
The little light finally died this weekend, and I am actually sick about it. But, after several years of great service, I suppose it needs a break. I am replacing the light with as close to an exact duplicate as I can get. Thanks Coast for a great product!

Misleading packaging

Have owned a few of these for several years now and they work well. Perfect for the glove box of a vehicle. Also have the HX6R, which is awesome, easy to recharge, bright, etc. Why 3 stars for the HX5. Bought 3 more and the packaging is misleading. Ends up the flashlight itself does not have a USB charging port, but the ZX210 optional battery does. So, if you want this flashlight to be rechargeable, you have to remove the special battery and recharge it separately. Packaging makes it seem like the flashlight has the USB port. I MUCH prefer the HX6R version for the convenience of recharging. If you want the HX5, understand that it's essentially just a single AA powered flashlight.

Terrible flashlight

Bought two of these for my daughters and after a year you can’t remove tailcap to replace battery. Totally locked from turning clockwise. Great lighting but bad tailcap design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Solid light

I needed a small but bright light for work but hate having to use triple a battery found this and its amazing it broke after a while I contacted the warranty department and they replaced the light I can respect a company that stand by there products I will differently be only buying coast lights
