Owned Several Of These Lights

This one was purchased a few years ago. As you can see, it is used daily in a shop and not especially cared for. It ends up in the tool tray and gets shuffled amidst heavy wrenches and sockets.
Even with all this abuse, it continues to perform flawlessly!

The best little light you can have!

The HX5 gives you features that make this little light a powerhouse great for everyday use.
The adjustable168 lumens beam provides ample brightness to illuminate rooms, corridors, and shaft-ways with ease up to thirty feet.
I use this light every day as a building inspector, in most cases the flashlight provides ample light needed for most inspections and conveniently clips on to my hat and securely in my pocket for safe keeping.
When more lighting is required, I use my HX5R, another Coastal powerhouse.

I purchased the HX5 around 20 years ago and Purchased another around a year ago and I noticed the difference between the Two , the Light element was Larger on the newer one

I had an HX5 for over 10 years of daily hard use. I always had it in my pocket and don’t know how anyone could manage without one in their pocket. Lots of light, reliable and durable. I had worn the paint thin on it from use. It finally stopped working after all those years and Coast honored their warranty and replaced it. I can certainly say that I am satisfied with the product and the company.

Owned one of these for 10 years. Was going to have it repaired when switch button acted up . Before I could send it in I misplaced it. Darn. So I bought another one. Can’t be happier.

Small, bright, well made, and a lifetime warranty. Use the clip a lot also . Frees both hands for repair on cars and plumbing jobs where lighting is dim or non existent.
