I love this flashlight but I hope the switch has been fixed since my last one or just becomes a waste of money.Very handy and light is very bright for my walks into the woods.

I purchased the HX5 years ago and put it in a S20 sheath for EDC. I have used the flashlight with rechargeable 14500 batteries ever since. The flashlight has enough power to light a trail or see across the street easy. The unit has a quality switch and bulb that has lasted years for every day carry! I since have given these to my son in laws and personal friends. The only way to kill it is to leave in a dead alkaline battery that goes to acid.

These are the best pocket flashlights to carry everyday. I've owned them for years. I've dropped them, I've dunked them in water, I've had them on my hat in the rain for hours and still never had a failure

I can't praise this little thing enough. The design and mechanics are as perfect as it gets. Simple and to-the-point. Fits right in the palm of your hand and is super compact and easy to use. Only one cycle of light to click through - and boy, is it bright with the rechargeable battery!. Brilliant. This means you don't have to keep clicking or wonder which brightness setting you're on (which I hate). Gosh, I'll put up with a slightly mushy switch for all this, and mine's not bad. I need one for every corner of the house and car. Now, I hope they don't sell out 'cause I said this.

The HX5 is a very nice, quality flashlight. The on/off switch works well consistently, and the light beam is consistent. I've had other LED flashlights that have been unreliable. I now have several Coast flashlights and I definitely notice their superior quality.. I'm very happy with the Coast products.

Great little, simple, rugged flashlight

My first HX5 lasted 6-8 years with active daily use (nightly dog walks) until the switch wore out. I like the small size, simple on-off switch, flood to spot light slide focusing, and ruggedness. In addition to replacing mine, I've bought several to stuff stockings this year.
