Great pocket light

This is a great pocket light with plenty of punch, unfortunately the coast products don’t play well with Rayovac Ultra Pro Batteries! I’ve had numerous Coast flashlights and headlamps destroyed over the years by corroded batteries. The flashlights I’ve had were always there for emergencies and not used frequently, The latest case being, it was stored with fresh batteries for approximately 4 weeks, only to find out when needed the whole inside chamber was corroded beyond repair or use!

The HX5 is one of the best lights I have had- it fits in my pocket, has good battery life and a super white and bright beam. I am going to pick up a few more of these the next time I am at the store.

Excellent light. It is a bit expensive but quality usually costs more. The lifetime guarantee is also worth having. This is my second HX5 and I haven't used it much. However, I have owned my original one for several years and, although Coast replaced it once (right after I got it) for a defective switch, it has performed faithfully for quite a long while. I opted to use the 3.7V battery and have been extremely pleased with the performance, although I have to recharge it more often than I would like. It is really unbelievable that a light so small can be so bright and light up a room so well.
