Amazing labler

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This was a great item to receive while I know it’s great for labeling addresses I also use it to help get organized. It’s easy to install and use and works very well. I would recommend it your looking for a label maker choice this easy to use one.

Ruined a good product

Used a LabelWriter 450 for years. Moved to another company and purchased the 550 because the 450 is no longer available. Big mistake. The new 550 is now proprietary to only Dymo labels. Need to print labels in different colors, but cannot use the 550 because Dymo doesn't make colored labels. Will be returning this item as fast as I can. DO NOT BY THIS UNIT.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The LabelWriter 550 was designed to work with DYMO Authentic labels only to prevent issues such as label jams, excessive feeding, and misaligned printing. These labels have been tested and we can confirm that they will provide the best user experience.
The colored labels that we have are available in the colors red and yellow and the size of those labels is 2 1/8" x 4".

Easy to use labeling solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this label maker from Influenster and Dymo for an honest review of the product.
After opening the box and reading the easy-to-follow instructions on how to download the latest software and driver onto my computer, it was time to create some labels!
I found that the kit included the proper USB cable, power supply, the printing unit and a starter roll of roughly 125 labels. The manual showed me clearly and easily how to set it up. You just have to remember to plug in and power up the unit only AFTER you’ve installed the software.
Once you’ve reached these steps, it’s very straightforward to create your own appealing labels. This can go far beyond just making mailing labels, you can pretty much design and create any layout you desire to label pretty much anything.
I was happy with the results, and I’m sure you will be too!

Perfect for many needs and uses

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Dymo LabelWriter 550 is an amazing label writer that can fulfill many label needs up to labels as big as 2 1/4 x 4” (name tag size) and as small as 10mm x 19mm (price tag size) and Dymo recommends using only Dymo labels which they have a very wide variety of sizes and styles to choose from. A great things about this label writer is that it is thermal so there is no need for the hassle of ink or toner! Loading the labels is super easy as well and comes with easy to follow instructions and the desktop system will help you as well to load the labels. The device has automatic label reconciliation and displays that label on screen for you design which makes label creating a breeze especially when it comes to design specific labels. Another great thing about it is that it can print up to 62 labels a minute and if your printing price tags, QR codes, barcodes, etc that can really come in handy! Setup is very simple as well especially when you follow the included step by step instructions. I myself have a Mac operating system so I have an adapter to plug in the usb but if you have a usb it will plug directly into your computer. When it comes to creating your labels once you install the software your options are endless! The software is so easy to navigate and there are many options of what you can add, sizing, clipart, date/time, even your own personal photos! For my review I’ve shown a quick example of labeling an iPad for school with clipart, child’s name, teachers name and classroom just to show how quick and easy it really is. The possibilities are really endless with this device. I highly recommend this for any all, small businesses, organization, teachers, schools and so much more! Highly rated and will be using this so much in the future.
