VERY Disappointing.

Was hoping to love this, but it ONLY takes Dymo branded labels with the RFID chip. How very Keurig of you. Not to mention, the driver won't even recognize HUNDREDS of files from the model of the 550 my coworker uses so I have to build from scratch.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our LabelWriter 5 series printers were designed to work with DYMO Authentic labels only, to prevent issues such as excessive feeding, label jams, and misaligned printing. Our labels will provide the best user experience.
If you have saved files or labels on a different computer, we recommend saving them on a flash drive and then exporting them to the other computer. The DYMO Connect Software has an import feature that allows you to import the files. For more information on how to use DYMO Connect for Desktop, please visit help.dymo.com > Support > Software..
Furthermore, if you having any issues with importing data from excel or csv, kindly uninstall and reinstall the DYMO Connect Software version 1.4.3 using the instructions here: help.dymo.com > Software > How to completely uninstall DYMO Software.

If you own a MAC run!!!

When it works it is a nice machine. However, it only works periodically! MACs do not have an old USB connection so you have to use an adapter. What I can surmise is that this creates an issue with connection. I absolutely do not recommend this machine and I will be switching. to another brand.

Misleading

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was definitely bigger than I was expecting. It won’t connect unless you have a USB outlet on your computer either, which I didn’t know beforehand. Once I got it to work it was easy, but I wish these little things were more clear.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What a great machine. The labels are easily fed through the machine. This will make sending packages so much easier and faster. The quality of the labels is really nice. No smeering of the ink on the label and an ink cartridge is not required.
