Easy to install on a desktop

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very easy desktop installation. If it is in fact WiFi or Bluetooth capable I was unable to figure that out. Prints nice but only uses dymo paper. Instructions are easy to follow

Dymo Thermal Label Printer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's nice to have a small business that ships a lot of items. It prints extra wide shipping labels. Also, versatile in type of labels that can be printed out. Not necessarily just for printing out shipping labels. However, I couldn't find information on what size labels it is compatible with. It must be connected to a device in order to print, so it has no wirless capabilities. Software could use some improvements. It's not as intuitive as I like. Also, the labelwriter only takes Dymo labels. Which could be a deal breaker since their labels are pricey. Once you get the hang of it, it's way better than using a traditional printer with label sheets and super fast.

Convenient and easy to use!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This label maker is super easy to use! I used a YouTube tutorial to make sure I set up the labels correctly and after that it was a breeze. I didn’t use the software for printing shipping labels. I printed them by opening up my label in a pdf file on the web browser and just playing with the settings. It was super quick and the print is high quality! I do agree I wish it had wireless capabilities. I used the standard usb connection and you would need a converter for MacBook. The size of the label maker is small so it can easily fit anywhere.

Simple and ef

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have an old…talking 10+ year old MacBook that runs slow and annoying. When I saw this labelwriter wasn’t plug and play I was weary. Downloading the software was fast and simple. This is not a Bluetooth or wireless printer and uses a USB to connect. The whole setup took maybe 5 minutes and that was my user error and lack of reading directions. The good news is Dymo has multiple stickers saying don’t plug in until software is downloaded. So you have to actively and consciously make the error. I didn’t read the directions on how to spool the labels. Once I read it I felt silly. Overall directions and setup are super simple. Comes with everything you need to get setup. I’ve wanted one of these for a long time and it’s worth the money.

Buy ONLY if you're looking to be frustrated

This printer works about 10% of the time. The rest of the time is spent troubleshooting. The printer has trouble recognizing it's own labels and will lead to you trying the same thing over and over and over and over with customer service to no avail. Strange that a printer company would create a printer that only has one job, to print, and then design it so that it doesn't do that one thing. I am using a MacBook Pro. Bought it for shipping label printing. Followed all the instructions to a T. Still no joy. Save yourself the time and buy a different brand.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
