Cuts out consistently

Purchased for Christmas 2019. Today is June 22, 2020. For 3-4 months now the speaker has been cutting out intermittently for 1-4 seconds with any device I pair the Bluetooth to. The speaker has NOT been dropped on the floor, dropped in water, left in the rain, etc. It is always kept charged, but it still keeps cutting out, making it unusable. I must have gotten a lemon, since I see so many good reviews.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Needs to connect to older systems

I bought this speaker hoping to connect to my flip 4 and found out it’s a different system very disappointed will be returning.

Love it, loud enough

I live in a one bedroom apartment underneath a very boisterous neighbor. Regardless how much I turned up the volume on other speakers I could still hear him. After I got my Flip 5 I sat the speaker up high on a shelf near the ceiling and blasted Marilyn Manson. He got the message.
My only negative is that it doesn’t come with a remote. Not a problem when connected to my IPhone. But not other devices.
Looks wise although it comes in many colors I chose white because it matches my decor. It doesn’t look like a speaker. Blends in.
Battery is fantastic. I’ve used it all week for a couple of hours a day on one charge.
Great for a one bedroom and can’t beat the price for such quality. It’s solid.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased a Flip 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. It just broke a few weeks ago so I figured I'd buy the latest and greatest. The Flip 2 was always impressive. The compact size, build, epic sound quality, and volume of sound from such a small package. When I purchased the Flip 5, it is way bigger and more impressive looking than its predecessor. I was expecting much better performance, unfortunately that was not going to be the case. To begin with, the storage case is just a big hunk of Styrofoam. No neat, smooth looking shell like the Flip 2. After hooking up my phone and selecting different types of music, The Flip 5 just doesn't have the robust sound of its predecessor. What's worse, is there is no option to customize the sound directly, without having to download an app separately. The sound is adequate, and more or less clear, but it does have a lingering cabinet effect, also the volume just doesn't quite stack up. The appearance is probably the strongest quality. Very cool exterior, quality paint and build. I think appearance-wise, it is very nice, but the most important thing is the sound, and it's just not quite there. Very disappointing.
