I’m critical of sound devices. JBL has achieved a great portable sound for recreational purposes.

Perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I did like the size as I was able to slide the Flip 5 in my bike’s water bottle holder. I was disappointed in the sound at loud volume. I also had connection issues at times. I own several JBL boxes, a Flip 2, Charge 3 and Boom Box and they all sound awesome. This new Flip 5 not so much. Maybe a bad unit?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great sound from small package

First and foremost great sound quality - very light and portable - easy sync with I-phone through bluetooth - going to buy second unit for stereo - bought direct through company web-site and saved 8% sales tax

I bought two Flip5s to use as a sound system for our remodeled kitchen. They have great sound at any volume and cover the space very well. I am very happy with my purchase and recommend the Flip5 to anyone!
