Disappointed in JBL pairing

I have a JBL flip 3 , JBL flip 4 and just bought a JBL flip 5 none of them pair with each other , just fair warning to people have bought these , JBL there is no sense of downloading an app haven't found one that works yet for pairing the devices together.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This is a must-have speaker!

We rented a villa on St. John this past June and a JBL FLIP 5 was there. We used it the whole time and bought a teal one for ourselves. The family loves it so much that we just bought another one, this time, customized. The sound on this speaker is excellent and has a great range. You can line up the speaker with one or more others and increase the sound. I can take it to the beach without fear of it getting splashed. I'm certain I will buy another one as our whole family loves it.
I would recommend this to a friend!

One Side doesnt work

I bought one about a month ago, and it just got so much quieter on 1 side out of nowhere, so I got a replacement and that one is even worse with one side muted! Really a disappointment...

JBL why are you moving backwards? Its a mono speaker people, jbl flip 4 sounds much much much better and fuller than this newer flip 5. I don't understand why jbl downgrading. I think because of samsung

Wow... great sound

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] 1st thing: I received this from JBL complimentary BUT I am eager to review it.
That said, I would enthusiastically order it at full price! Easy to connect, holds a charge and OMG the sound! It has a great bass based sound...so much better than most speakers NOT named JBL. If you've heard any other JBL speakers (I have the Jembe attached to a PC) you know what I mean. This is a heavy speaker, and I mean by weight. That's the only way to get a full sound, IMHO, there are no shortcuts to a pounding bass. There are buttons to adjust the volume, and to pair via Bluetooth, but no ability to directly connect. Charged it once, and it's still going 3 weeks later.
It's water-resistant...or as they say "Water Proof".... not sure I'd drop it in the Ocean, or a pool for an hour, but it appears to be just fine for use in watery areas - like your shower or the pool. The sound will easily overwhelm your shower, and will easily fill a household (or condo) pool area.
There's also a means to link more than one speaker (got some friends???) to fill a larger area. It's called Party Boost, and that also seems enhances the bass in my experience. Don't know how it handles that, but there's an app to download. I was able to connect to my phone, stream an app, walk around the condo (1200 sq ft) and it didn't drop out at all. I also used it in my car - better sound than the same station on the radio...
I would recommend this to a friend!

Biggest regret yet!

I had no idea they removed the aux cord option from this speaker. It’s not even as loud as I thought it would be. Highly disappointed!
