I think the JBL flip4 is louder flip5 sounds better . If u have flip5 laying down on its side right in front of u, You can tail that it only has one speaker it messes with the way u hear the music because you hear it more on one side but if u Stan it up it sounds way Better
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Feel the Boom!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Flip 5 keeps the jamz going! The bass coming from speakers is phenomenal! You can see the beat of the music from looking at the Flip 5. This beautiful little speaker is loud enough for an outside party or inside get together. The best part of this speaker is that it is waterproof. We have used this in the pool and in the shower, as funny as that may be. If any of your friends have another one of these little wonders, you can connect them to create surround sound! Amazing. The only negative about these new Flip 5’s is that the charger is different than the others in JBL flip series, so they are no longer interchangeable. It also takes longer to charge than the others. Overall, definitely worth your money! It is the life of our pool parties!

JBL Flip 5 really good indoor outdoor speaker

I recently bought it and I’m happy with it. It is really good for indoor and outdoor. It’s really loud and has a powerful bass. I recommend this Bluetooth speaker

Disappointed!

Bought Flip5 to my daughter for her birthday and looked forward to connect with rest of family. But, it doesn’t work with Flip5!!! Why not clearly write that in the description of the speaker? I would never have bought a Flip5 in that case.

Great Speaker Marred By Poor App Development

Trying to use the app for this speaker, JBL Connect, on Android is just painful. Specifically, trying to pair two PartyBoost speakers in stereo is like having a root canal. If you don't believe it's a common issue, check the other reviews in the Google Play Store. The app cannot reliably show the proper connection status of your speaker(s), and it takes quite the - and I don't use this word lightly - RIGAMAROLE to get two paired in stereo. And if, by chance, the gods have blessed you and you get them connected in stereo, it may only stay this way for a few minutes before disconnecting or switching back to mono.
A mainstream tech product should not have an application that's this frustrating and broken in 2020. It completely ruins the experience of an otherwise nice line of speakers.
At the time of writing, JBL Connect for Android was on version 4.7.12.
JBL, I hope you appreciate the feedback I've provided you. I hope you understand that the product did not meet my expectations.

Great Quality Sound For A Reasonable Price!

This is my second JBL Flip and I am very happy with the sound it produces.
Unfortunately my first Flip didn’t last a year (the speaker wouldn’t hold a charge & then the speakers started popping) but after looking at other brand’s speakers, I decided that I was satisfied with getting another JBL Flip. I tried a Sony speaker and returned it the next day because the quality was not to my liking. I reviewed Bose products but they are expensive and the reviews indicate the speakers don’t last very long either. Therefore I would much rather buy a JBL considering it’s price and quality of sound.
I would recommend this to a friend!
