I love my Cyclo Trainer. I use it when the weather is bad. I use it to help my vascular problems I have with my legs. My Dr said it would be good for that. I have already wore one out, but was happy to get another one.
Due to a physical limitation, it is impossible for me to use any pedal device (trainers, bicycles, et al) with complete comfort and results, so I can't be totally objective, I'm certain. That being said, I rate the Total Gym trainer as high as any device I've ever used. Pedal straps are a nuisance for me on any device, so I won't complain about them. So, claiming neutrality in all the mentioned regards, allow me to offer one criticism of the Cyclo Trainer, that being about its attachment to the incline. I would be happier with the device if it was equipped with a physical attachment such as a clamp or other quick-action device to prevent side-to-side movement, which, while small, is enough to be irritating to me since I cannot maintain prefect alignment of my feet at all times. Just something to think about since the device is otherwise nicely functional in all situations I've encountered thus far.
Overall this is a nice device. Its compact size makes it nice for smaller rooms. My main complaint is the foot pedals are a bit small. if your feet are bigger than 12 extra wide, they may not fit. It would be nice for larger pedals and straps. With that said, it still gives me a good cardio workout.
My cyclotrainer is still working fine- for now. The display however, times out and the resistance resets to level 1 upon next use (re. Since it's battery powered, I expect the batteries won't last very long. Also, I took off the display module to look inside after a few uses and there is little chunks of rubber from the belt scattered around the inside of the unit. I don't expect that the belt will last very long and I understand that it's not a replaceable item.
