My wife & I both really like the CycloTrainer as it allows us to do more cardio and burn more calories. We're both in our upper 60's a have a t.v. mounted on the wall and simply watch a show as we workout. My wife uses it as a bicycle while riding for usually six miles 3 or 4 times a week. I use it by incorporating it into my 3 to 4 day routine of strength training and cardio. The electronic screen is very useful as it allows us to see how fast and how far we have been going, along with what resistance setting each of us are using.
Nice and smooth pedaling. The alarm that sounds when time is up is too soft. The sixteen levels of pedaling are overrated due to the fact anything higher than six becomes impossible to pedal. Very easy on the back and tailbone. Does the job.
The monitor doesn't work can't find out if there are batteries and if there are how to find them or change them, with out it operating there is no way to change resistance it really sucks. lack of support with total gym is really irritating and I would not buy from this company again just because if that
This thing is very nice. HD like all their parts. Biggest issue is that the foot loops arent big enough to put my big feet in. I have to just rest them on outside of the loops. I wish the loops were a stretchable material or just came off.
I am a 24/7 caregiver. I can't leave the house to exercise, so I bought this to get some aerobic exercise at home indoors. It works very well for that purpose--the various levels of resistance allow me to get a "real workout." So far it is very sturdy. I am a little concerned about the review I read in which the reviewer found shavings from a rubber belt (presumably a belt that is used to increase the resistance?). But, I haven't had to confront the problem yet.
