Worth way more than it was priced

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a theater room in my basement and got this for my upstairs living room for my parents and also me when I don't feel like going down to the theater. This system is insanely good for the price I paid and couldn't be happier. You get crisp surround sound when watching a movie in 5.1 or 7.1. I have noticed the subwoofer is too powerful for the area so I had adjust it a few times to decrease the power otherwise my house was shaking. For a small to medium sized room which I believe the system was designed for, its perfect I couldn't imagine upgrading this system for another 10-15 years.

Clean & Crisp Audio / A+ product

The wireless rear speakers deliver crisp audio that can are easily tuned and volume controlled. The subwoofer and soundbar are amazing. The system fills up my large open floor plan media room with crisp sound/bass with ease.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I will say it's much better with watching TV than just listening to music I listen to music more than watch movies and stuff so maybe I should of got a different setup I mean this is more targeted for that than music

We appreciate you providing your feedback and experience with the HW-Q990D soundbar. Please know there are a wide range of audio adjustments available to tune the sound to your liking.

You can manually optimize your audio experience by pressing the SOUND CONTROL button (which looks like a gear), you can set the audio function such as Auto EQ, Spacefit sound, AVA, Voice Enhance mode, Night mode, Sync, Surround speaker mode, Virtual. The desired item can be adjusted using the Up/Down buttons.

Alternatively, you can press and hold the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds to adjust the sound for each frequency band. 150Hz, 300Hz, 600Hz, 1.2kHz, 2.5kHz, 5kHz, and 10kHz are selectable using the Left/Right buttons and each can be adjusted to a setting between -6 to +6 using the Up/Down buttons.

You can try quickly optimizing the audio by pressing the SOUND MODE button on your remote, and then select the desired sound effect by choosing STANDARD, SURROUND SOUND, GAME, or ADAPTIVE SOUND.

To control the volume of each speaker, press the CH LEVEL button on the provided remote. Then select CENTER LEVEL, SIDE LEVEL, WIDE LEVEL, FRONT TOP LEVEL, REAR LEVEL, or REAR TOP LEVEL. Once you find the channel you are looking for, adjust the volume between -6 to +6 by using the Up/Down buttons.

There are multiple ways to control the bass levels for your new Soundbar.

1) Using the WOOFER button on the provided Soundbar remote. Use the woofer button by pushing forward or pulling backward on the button itself to adjust the bass levels between -12 or -6/+6. If you want to reset the bass to 0 then push the button in.
2) When you press the TONE CONTROL button, you can adjust the treble or bass levels between -6/+6.

Alternatively, you can adjust all of these same settings and more within the SmartThings app. Download the app for your iOS or Android device and then connect your Soundbar to Wi-Fi. From here, you will be able to adjust all of the same settings as the provided remote, but with the added benefit of being able to see the changes on your smart device.

Model: Samsung Q Series 9.1.2 ch. Atmos Soundbar
This 9.1.2-channel soundbar is a powerhouse of audio, but it's held back by significant technical frustrations.
The Good: When it works, the sound is brilliant. The 9.1.2-channel setup with wireless rear speakers and Dolby Atmos creates a true bubble of sound with distinct overhead effects. The bass from the wireless subwoofer is powerful and room-filling, and Q-Symphony (when paired with a compatible Samsung TV) creates a massive, wide soundstage.
The Bad: The outstanding audio is undermined by persistent bugs. The soundbar constantly loses its connection to the TV (via eARC), forcing a disruptive reboot. The SmartThings app is equally unreliable, frequently failing to find or connect to the system, which is necessary for fine-tuning. Most frustratingly, the wireless subwoofer's powerful bass randomly cuts out, even when the volume is at a moderate-to-high level (35-40), completely breaking the immersion.
Verdict: This is a 3-star product that sounds like a 5-star product. The audio engineering is superb, but the software and connectivity are deeply flawed. The daily hassle of fixing connection drops and the intermittent bass cutouts are major issues. The audio payoff is spectacular, but the frustration of simply trying to use it is hard to overlook.

Great sound ok rear speaker and sun connection

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this soundbar, but the subwoofer and rear speakers will often disconnect in high output scenarios where it gets very loud. Once volume goes back down they will instantly reconnect but the subwoofer going in and out gets annoying.
