Lasted for about 6 months for a very expensive bin. Look good on the outside but is made out of cheap plastic on the inside which fell apart and can’t use the bin now. Tried contacting Joseph Joseph but no reply been over a month now. Definitely do not recommend

Bin bag falls off the compactor every time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot, for love nor money, get the bin bag to stay hooked up to the frame which forms the mouth of the compactor unit. I have to keep fishing in into the depths of the bin to salvage the now-dirty bin bag to re-fix it to the crusher. Is it me? Probably. I've Youtubed it and tried every which way. But it feels like it should be easy and obvious, For me, it is not.

High quality bin, looks nice

High quality bin, looks nice in the kitchen. Many similar bins on the market but this one stands out. If the company could have a bin that use foot instead of hand to push down it would be even better, especially for ladies hands.

Bag attachment and emptying too much of a faff

Tried to love this bin but after giving it a go for a few months I'm looking to replace it.
Positives first: good to look at, well built, like the soft close lid
Negatives: the compression action is pretty basic and does not have anywhere near the force needed to really push down on the rubbish. I still find my own hands do a better job so this is really an expensive gimic. But the real annoyance is the way the bags attach. Rather than slipping over the top you have to do a merry dance with two bits of plastic to hook the bags in. I get why this is necessary as it ensures the bag is not sucked down into the bin when you try compressing. The problem is that when the bin is full it's nigh on impossible to get the bag off without ripping it as the tension in the bag is now so high. Really bad design imho.
So sadly, do not recommend this model and regret the purchase.

This bin has taken away

This bin has taken away all our bin issues. It’s easy to open with your foot, leaving hands free to put rubbish in the bin reducing the mess around the lid. The compactor really does its job well and we’ve noticed how much more we can fit it. Yes the bin is expensive but it is good quality, well designed and all in all a great bin!

Brilliant product but VERY POOR after sales warranty service!

Purchased two years ago and was really pleased with the product and recommended it to family and friends. However, a part sprung away from the compactor handle and this is stopping us from using it as a compactor. No damage so definitely a manufacturing fault. Have reported this three times and apart from the holding auto-response email, no further response or offer of support has been received from supplier. Very dissappointing and would value a response!!!!
