Very happy with purchase

I just purchased the shredder after reviewing many and trying to purchase where previous was lacking. This seems to be the answer to what I was wanting.

The first Fellowes shredder I purchased lasted over 20 years, so I decided to purchase another Fellowes when that one finally bit the dust. The 79Ci is great! It not only does a fantastic job of crosscut into small pieces; it does it with exceptionally quiet operation. I also like the built in safety features, which are a must if there are small children and/or pets around. It may cost a bit more than some of the others, but it is well worth the difference.

My First Shredder

I received the shredder and began using it within a couple of days. It is very easy to use and I have had no problem at all with it.

I thought that the 79Ci that I purchased 6 years ago would last longer. I maintained the shredder periodically and oiled it as necessary. I do not know what the average life expectancy of the shredder is. I used it 2-3 days a week with average use (40 sheets a day)

This model Fellowes 79Ci shredder has performed well at home shredding several sheets as well as staples. I sou;d recommend for home use.

Best Shredder!

I've only had my shredder about a week but it is hands-down the BEST shredder I've ever purchased. I've had big shredders and small shredders and this Fellowes shredder is quieter, has more features, and looks the best. LOVE IT so far!!!
