I just got this shredder today and I have been shredding sensitive legal documents for about an hour now and I have had zero issues. This thing makes it fun to shred paper (as fun as it could possibly be)!!
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance

My previous non-Fellowes shredder was nothing but frustration with constant jamming, My 79Ci is fantastic quickly shredding papers and the 14 page limit is high enough so that I don't have to split most of what I shred. My only complaint is that I thought the casters were hard to press in. I want to send one to my mother but I don't think she is strong enough to press them in to where they are properly seated.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Safety Features, Jam Resistance
Cons: installing casters, plastic bag insert does not secure well

79Ci Shredder doesn't stand for "79" cubic inches

Nor does it require a license to operate. But after witnessing the power this Mack Daddy shredder brings to the table, you might think so. Loaded with useful features. And the horsepower of Fellowes behind it. If you're tired of fooling around with jams, failures, and cheap plastic parts, this is the one.
Pros: Quality Construction, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Jam Resistance
Cons: expensive

Excellent product design, operation. The instruction manual. registration process are terrible. It seems the manual writers are not thinking outside the box. Other than the paper itself, the organization, content, pictures are just very unfriendly. I can't understand when you have an excellent product, why don't you have excellent manual too. My sense is the staff have been doing this for years . You may need some freshness as well as strong independent quality assurance staff.

We bought this shredder to replace a Fellowes shredder that finally died after 10 years of constant use. We look forward to the same good service from this one and are especially delighted that it empties without lifting the heavy shredder off of the paper receptacle (as was true of the old one.)

Great ... but

Really love this shredder. I like the quietness. I really like the safety shut off feature. I would have appreciated clearer instructions on putting on the casters. They didn't just pop in. I took a rubber mallet and tapped them until they went all the way in. One more thing is the plastic piece on the inside of the container. I believe this is the piece that inserts into a slot that tells the shredder the bin is closed and it's ok to work. This is the piece that broke on the last shredder I had, which wouldn't work after that plastic piece broke. I really expected the Fellowes to have a metal piece here that won't break off. Only time will tell.

Have used Fellowes at a previous job & it worked so well I purchased this one for my office. Does exactly what I need it to do, handy, compact & easy to move around! Would recommend this to any small business or home office.

We haven't had our Fellowes 79Ci for very long, but are very happy with it's operation and it is so quiet.
