Overall a good product but would make the basket larger. Machine also tends to overheat quickly if you have a large amount of shredding. VERY quiet for a shredder!

Cons: Mess Reduction, small receiving basket

Best and quietest purchase ever

This shredder is by far the best and quietest I have ever owned. This is my fourth and hopefully last for several years. I use it in my home office for security and it is fast and efficient. A cross cut design.which can handle paper, credit cards CD and Dvd discs and even staples.

Bought this unit to replace an older unit and could not be happier. It's quiet, takes 15 sheets at a time, staples are not a problem. Looks great. Easy to empty. Love It!

Very Pleased

I am very pleased with my new Fellowes 79Ci shredder. I replaced a lower capacity shredder from another manufacturer when it became damaged. I almost cannot believe how my efficiency has increased with the 79Ci. What would take hours to shred before, now only takes minutes. I am actually happy that my previous unit was damaged and required replacement. The increased efficiency is well worth the investment!

I replaced my previous office schredder (41 years) with the Powershred 79Ci. The new shredder actually exceeds my eexpectations. It is quiet, powerful, and has performed flawlessly.
