Excellent Shredder

This is my third Fellowes Shredder, over a 20 year period. Each one an improvement on its predisor. Totally pleased with my new Powershred 79Ci. Excellent value!

What a GREAT Shredder

Just out of the box and this shredder smacks of features. It ran thru my stack of shredding in no time. Was extremely impressed. You get what you pay for and this seems to be the sweet spot!
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Quality Construction, Warranty, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs, Service Guarantee, Safety Features, Secure Cut Size, Jam Resistance, Mess Reduction

Great Purchase

I just received my shredder today and already gave it a good work out. Can't say enough about what a great job it does. Love all the features that my old shredder did not have. I actually hated shredding with my old one because it would jam all the time and could only take about 2 sheets at a time. I was able to shred in about 30 minutes what it would have taken about 2 hours to do with my old machine. Sometimes you have to spend a little more to get good quality and effecient operation. This was a great purchase.

I bought a Fellowes because of the reviews and my mom likes her fellows shredder in her home office. It's quiet and a nice size that fits perfectly in my office.

Do not settle for cheaper options

I only have had it for a day, but had lots of shredding to catch up on after my old shredder broke down. I am very impressed and pleased with the shredder, especially because I researched this purchase extensively. If you want to see a good demonstration of capabilities, check out some videos on youtube. I also saw it in action at an office, which ultimately made me buy this make and model. (I, however, bought it for home office use.)
Anyway, this shredder is quiet, powerful and it looks good. It is not bulky, and the optional coasters allow it to roll easily to and from under my desk. A scale of colored lights lets you know how hard the shredder is working.
The shredder comes with a small bottle of oil, required every time you empty the bin, according to the manual. Some plastic bin bags for shreds are included as well.
Anyway, this shredder is quiet, powerful and it looks good. It is not bulky, and the optional coasters allow it to roll easily to and from under my desk. A scale of colored lights lets you know how hard the shredder is working.

Received my shredder today and used it for an hour and a half. It was easy to use and quiet! This is a replacement for a cheap/low-quality shredder purchesed several years ago. It only caused a lot of grief when using it and it finally broke. I saw this advertised in Costco magazine and have been waiting a few months to be able to purchase it. Ordered it two evenings ago and received it this afternoon. Had a great time shredding a box full of papers with my 8 year old granddaughter soon after opening the package.

Greatest of All

this is my 4th shredder in 4 years. All of my other shredders jammed and broke in many different ways. So I decided to look and evaluate all shredders. this had the best reviews from all. so i decided to try it. This is by far far the best! It's worth the extra money. So don't be cheap and spend the extra buck. It will be well worth your while.

Definitely Jam Proof

I don't have time to mess around with things when they don't work properly. That's why I bought the 79Ci. It looked like it was robust enough to not jam...and it never jams! I love that. I have had shredders in the past that took so much time to feed carefully that you hated to have to use them. If you want a hassle-free, multi-sheet shredder, this is the one.
