This machine does everything it claims. It is neatly designed and very quiet compared to the previous shredder. This shredder needs to be oiled frequently and is shipped with a small plastic bottle of the recommended oil.

Best Shredder Ever

The PS-79Ci is the best shredder ever. There is no chance of it jamming and it tells you how much paper you can put in at one time. If you try to put in to much instead of accepting the paper and jamming, it tells you you're trying to put in to much.
If and whenever I have to purchase a shredder for work, I always purchase the PS-79Ci.

PS79-Ci works well in consulting rooms

I have been using this model for over a year in a consulting room where parent let their young children roam freely and touch everything at their height. I have seen the Safe Sense monitor cut in every time a toddler touches the cassette and feeder, and I have never seen it move a micron even if little fingers go near the feeder.
My only bugbear is that an anatomical model fell onto the paper guide and broke it - the shredder still works fine but I have had to araldite the guide back together several time - this item needs to be beefed up or else a spare included.

We haven't had our shredder very long yet, but so far we love it. Very efficient, very quiet and looks kinda stylish. If it keeps going like it's going now, we will be more than satisfied!

To early to be sure

Have only had this product for a couple of weeks. It has features that were appealing. So far so good and the mess reduction is better than the previous fellow shredder I owned, but it still could be better. It is much quieter compared to my previous fellows shredder that didn't last two years with moderate usage. Give me at least 6 months of useage to give an accurate review.

Great Shredder

I had been wanting to get a new shredder and finally purchased one before the end of the year. My old shredder cut in long strips and I was worried someone would be able to put documents back together. With my new shredder I don't have to worry anymore!

The Best

I have owned many shreaders over the years, but in my personal opinion, this is the first one that truly lives up to what it says it is designed to do. It is unbelievably quite and go thru many sheets of paper without even grunting! The safe features are also great. This shreader is OUTSTANDING!!!
