It is very quiet and works very efficiently. The basket shows the level of paper. I would definitely buy this shredder again.

The Fellowes PS-79Ci is fast, efficient and powerful. We call it our R2D2. Perfect for a home office or personal home use. Was looking for a shredder that didn’t constantly jam and could shred and power-thru multiple sheets at a time. The PS-79Ci does the trick. Easy to assemble, plug-in and get started. Shredded my documents in no time. Fills up fast but easy to empty and get started again. Looking around the house for other things to shred. Its fun!

Great Shredder

I just purchased this shredder to replace one that was failing
I cannot believe how effective this shredder is on numerous paper widths and counts. In addition, I don't think I've ever had a CD shredded so efficiently
The one beef I have is that I wish the debris door/basket was a tad easier to sit in the frame, but that is such a minor issue that I plan to buy this product for my son when he goes away to college next year.

Need Look No Further Shredder

This shredder has turned out to be the absolute best one ever!! I have purchased a dozen others over the past 15 years and I will say you need look no further for a shredder. This one is the best. I actually bought this in Feb 2010 and when our shredder fried at work, you guessed it, we replaced it with the PS 79ci just like the one I have at home.

My Fellowes PS-79Ci Shredder

I have had my shredder only a few weeks, but so far it has performed extremely well. I am using the shredder to shred some old bills and bank statements(I didn't want to just put them in=the trash for obvious reasons). The machine is handling the envelopes with the bills inside with ease and doing extremely quietly. I am very happy with the performance of the shredder overall. I called Customer Service once to ask further instructions for oiling the machine and the nice young lady I spoke with was very cordial and very helpful with all my questions.

Excellent customer service support

My 2 year old PS-79ci shredder quit working. I emailed Fellows customer service with a detailed list of the symptoms. Within 24 hours I received an email from Carole N. After several emails back and forth the consensus was that the problem most likely was in the main computer board. At this point I asked if they would consider standing behind this product by shipping me a replacement computer board. Carole replied back with a very generous offer to send me a factory reconditioned shredder even though the unit was no longer under warranty. The reconditioned shredder arrived promptly and appeared in like new condition. I have been using this new shredder for several weeks now and am very happy with Fellows excellent support and Carole's professional service. I would recommend this product to others looking for a well designed shredder with many great features from a reputable company who exceeds all standard expectations.
