Wonderful addition to my office....

This is a marvelous invention. I am older and have a lot of paper to shred and clear out of my home. This product has given me not only the neatness but peace of mind in getting rid of clutter. Thank you for a wonderful addition to my home.

Best Shredder Ever

I am loving this shredder. It can shred a lot of papers at one and I love how quiet it is. I can be on the phone and you cannot hear it!

It is very quiet and works great. A little messy to clean but we are talking about little pieces of paper. I have only had it a short time so cannot attest to is long term duribility but we have been putting it to the test as we as we clean out our office

Great 1st Impressions

This was a replacement for a different brand. So far, I'm thoroughly impressed. The shredder is quiet and fast. It easily has shredded a large stack of documents I hadn't attempted to shred with my previous machine because it would have taken too long and jammed at least once.
I've not rated durability higher because the machine is new - I'm hopeful that, over time, I'll be as pleased with that aspect as the others.

Excellent Shredder

My old shredder recently died- so I did some research and found the Fellowes PS-79Ci was rated very favorably in several comparisons. No disappointment whatsoever. I can't believe I used this other brand shredder for so long. The PS-79Ci is so much more quiet. It's efficient- so much more easier to unload the shredded paper using a pull-out drawer, plus it's a decent size container. The warning system for too much paper works well, and the jam protection is great. I'm also impressed with the quality of construction- and the casters add a great convenience. Yes- it might be a little more than a cheapo shredder for home use, but well worth the price.

great machine

Compared to the shredder I had before, there is no comparison. This one does not jam. It does not overheat as quickly as the other one I had. I am really, really happy with this shredder.

Great Purchase

Honestly, purchasing a shredder wasn't exactly at the top of my list of fun things to do. But my receptionist "burnt" up the last shredder we had in the office so it had to be done. What a great purchase!! The indicator lights at the side show how many sheets of paper have been fed into the shredding teeth, a wonderful feature. And the motor just purrs as the papers are chewed up. I love this shredder.

A very good machine

I rank this shredder a 4.5 on a scale of 1 to 5. The shredding capability is superb. My only reason for not giving it a 5 is that after I pack down the paper - to get more into the plastic bag prior to removing, when I pull the plastic out it catches on some sharp places on the wastebasket. If the wastebasket couold be made without sharp protrusions so that one can pack the paper and pull it out smoothly it would be a 5.

Cons: Mess Reduction, tears in plastic when packed w paper
