My old Fellowes Shredder PS-77c jammed for the last time. I could not unjam it, so I looked for a shredder that had some sort of jam prevention. I zeroed in on the Powershred 79Ci since it seemed to have anti-jam feature. It was a little more than I expected to pay, but it works great, hasn't jammed and I would buy it again.

This shredder is exactly the product that was advertised.It is the quietest shredder that I have personally operated. The machine is easy to operate and (Normally) I have difficulty with so called easy to operate machines, they do not live up to the easy/simple to operate statement, but this one operates as described, instructions are clear and easy to follow. I used a rubber mallet to install the wheels so not to damage them and I did not experience any difficulty installing them, it just took two (2) good whacks each to put them on . (Not bad for a female ). If you are in the market for a shredder that is 79Ci is what they say it is try one and experience a winner for yourself. The price is fair for what you get and the quality is impressive. Shredding paperwork is an enjoyable task and I can do this from my home. This is what I wanted when I made the purchase.

Meets my needs

Nice looking unit, packaged and shipped well. Easy to assemble. Shredder head is pretty heavy, which is expected with a heavier duty machine. Older or frailer customer might have slight problem seating head on bin. Casters installed easily with couple of taps from rubber mallet. Instructions simple to follow. Came with small bottle of oil and a few bags. Have shredded quite a bit of paper with no jamming problems. Easily shreds up to 10-12 sheets of paper and staples. Bin fills quickly and have to pull out bin and pack down paper or empty bin. Probably just seems to fill up quickly because you can shred so many more pages at a time. Very quiet operation, can easily conduct conversation while shredding. Have not tried to shred any CDs. Have not encountered any problems with machine and would definitely buy another if the need arose and would recommend it to friends.

I did a lot of research on shredders before deciding on the Fellows CRC32279. I am not disappointed!!! This shredder is high quality, nice appearance

Quiet Operation

We love the quietness of this Fellowes shredder...our only complaint is that the size of the pieces after shredding would be better if they were smaller. This would allow them to pack down more and the bag not fill up as fast.

Finally a Shreder that is Emily Proof

I love this shreder. I have a tendency to break things. I broke our office shredder before this one. I jammed it several times until it just quit working. Then I was on the hunt for a shredder that was 100 percent jam proof. I found this one and it did not dissapoint. Anytime I put in too much paper a red light would appear to gently remind me that I have put in too much paper. I was able to shred all of the documents that have been piling up over the last year and it didn't take my entire day! I would reccomend this shredder to anyone with a small buisness. I absolutly love it and it has taken all of the frustration out of getting rid of documents.

Good shredder

Works well. Does not jam or is easily "unjammed" by reversing. Doesn't really eat up "heavier" paper products, as you may need to clear the shredded strands or the "bin full" light will go on. Still, the machine does it's job. Would not recommend for a multi-person environment. Spend the money and get a larger capacity shredder, if more than one user.
