I am impressed with the quality of this product and the extra features that are included for the price. It detects the number of pages being inserted with a scale of lights from green to red to let you know if you are inserting too many pages. There is a safety light and a light to let you know when the basket is full. It has had no problems shredding CD, credit cards and papers with staples and is very quiet also. Makes the chore of shredding much easier and faster when there is no constant jamming like with other less expensive shredders.

Relaxing

Watch a video or listen to music, either way relax, no more feeling like you are drilling holes in concrete.
Not less noisy then others this one is quiet. Its on casters and it rolls nice. The engineers did a good job.
Powers through misaligned paper.
Made me happy which is very unusual for me.

Best for the money

I found that this is a answer to anyone who has a home office . The machine allowes me to do late night work with out disturbing my household. Quiet efficentcy

Don't waste your time with other shredders

I have been through a series of inexpensive shredders and really should have known better.
I am a tax advocate and deal with a substantial quantity of paper. I have finally migrated over to a "paperless" office and as a result all physical documents that have been scanned into our system by law must be destroyed.
I kept burning out lesser shredders, finally I happened upon the PS-79Ci. Truth is that it was more than I planned to spend but when I balanced it against burned out shredders it was clear that this would save me money in the long run.
This shredder just will not allow you to jam it. The warning system is so good that even I have to pay attention to it. Get your hand too close to the feed slot and the shredder automatically shuts down. It's so quiet that I can run it and have a phone conversation.
It is easy to use right out of the box and is very intuitive.
The only problems I have found so far, and I guess from my review you can figure I think they're minor, is: (1) the bin could be larger and (2) there should be a better system for installing plastic bags to receive the detritus.
Otherwise this is indeed a quality product and one that I think will be serving me for a long time to come.

Outstanding Performance

I have been very impressed with the durability and performance of the Fellows PS-79Ci. I used it to shred 7 years of old files and it was amazing how it gobbled up every sheet I fed it!

Best Shredder we ever owned

We are extremely happy with this shredder!! It does what it says. It shreds very well, very industrious machine. It is also very quiet. It is nice to use it without waking up everyone in the house. We had 2 big bags of paperwork to shred, and they have been accumulating for about 3 years now. The old shredder can barely shred one sheet of paper. With the Fellowes PS-79C1, we were able to shred everything in less than one week, and only with less than 5 minutes per session. It is so nice to find something that works well.

Great Home Shredder

Although the page capacity is limited, this shredder has all the features needed for a home office. This model is a bit noisy.
