Great Shredder for the Money

Overall this is a very good shredder for the price. I've only used it for a month, but so far it has not jammed - it even shreds credit cards and CD/DVD's! I really like the safety features too. My only complaint is that for single or really thin sheets of paper you have to really push it down into the shredder so that the sensor can activate the shredder. Other than that, a good value purchase for the money - 4.5 out of 5 stars.

Tough Shredder

The Shredder will handle anything. It will shut itself off if your shredder stack is too thick. We have owned several other shredders and this one is worth the money!!! The others are now in the trash dump!!

This is absolutely the quietest shreder I've ever owned...and I've owned a bunch. Does a great job. Can't comment on durability since I've had it only a few weeks now. Performance is excellent.

Very best Shredding machine I've ever used.

What a relief!

This shredder was purchased to replace a fairly new non-Fellowes product that was a constant headache to use. I had owned a Fellowes in the past in a different location and remembered how well it had done the job for me. I purchased another one and have not been disappointed. My PS79Ci runs quietly, smoothly and the jam proof feature works well.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Safety Features, Jam Resistance, overall shape and size
Cons: Mess Reduction

I HAD ALWAYS BOUGHT SHREDDERS BY PRICE, CHEAP! BUT, U GET WHAT U PAY FOR. THEY WOULD ALWAYS JAM, OVERHEAT & QUIT,COULDN'T FEED MUCH PAPER THROUGH, ETC. SO, I DECIDED TO BY A GOOD ONE, I REALLY LOVE THIS ONE. IT'S QUIET, DOESN'T JAM. MY WIFE THOUGHT I WAS SPENDING TO MUCH FOR A SHREDDER, YOU'VE ALREADY GOT ONE,, I TOLD HER I WANTED A GOOD ONE. I'M REALLY GLAD I BOUGHT THIS ONE.

I am very pleased that I purchased the Fellowes PS-79Ci for my home office. I have shredded thousands of documents with staples, plus some CD's and a credit card and have not had any problems.
There have been no jamming problems with the exception of when the storage bin becomes too full and the system shuts-down. I have learned to watch the storage capacity more carefully to avoid overfilling.
