Superb Shredder

I purchased the PS-79ci shredder based on my previous experience with a Fellowes shredder. This shredder performs beyond my expectations. It is very quiet, has a nice safety device and operates very smoothly.
I would strongly recommend this shredder to anyone looking for a durable shredder, including those who own a small to medium size company. You will be very impressed with the operation of the shredder.

WORK HORSE

I upgraded from a Fellows shreader purchased about 10 years ago and what a work horse. Easily shreads 10 pages no trouble. Credit cards and staples just vanish into waste.
I like the light feature showing you how much of a load the shreader can handle before stopping and doing damage to the motor or gears.
I would reccomend this shreader to anyone that needs to trash personal imformation. A very safe piece of equipment for home or office use. NO HOME SHOULD BE WITHOUT ONE OF THESE!!!

Greatest Shredder Ever

I had to write a review to let others know my experience with Shredders. Between 2009 and early 2010 I have gone through 4 shredders before the Fellowes Shredder, my last one only lasted about 4 months. I was beginning to think shredders and me dont get along, I am always shredding stuff. I have to point out I have two small children and they are always into whatever I am doing and i am amazed at their Safe Sense feature, as soon as my little ones hands touch the opening it auto stops and proceeds shredding once no hands are touching. I also like the fact that, i can put quite a load of papers in the opening and the Shredder senses the thickness and adjusts and pushes papers through on its own. This is the Greatest Shredder ever. I have only had it a few weeks now, but I have done a ton of shredding these last couple of weeks especially since it is tax season I was getting rid of alot of documents not needed. I recommended this shredder and brand to all my family members and friends. Oh, I almost forgot I love the fact that it comes with its own trash bag, now when its full (which it also tells you) I pull bag out and throw away I dont have to haul the basket over to the garbage to throw shredded paper away. Also, I like that it comes with a lubricant to keep shedder in perfect conditioning. Oh, and when they say quiet it really is quiet, I have heard of other shredders claiming to be quiet and always woke my baby up if they were napping around/near shredder, but this one I could literally shred papers with them sleeping next to machine and it is absolutely quiet, if you purchase this shredder know that you are getting a high grade office/business quality shredder that you can now have at home at a decent cost.

paper basket to small have to empty to often. motor over heats to often does coll down quickly.basket does not catch all the paper shape of basket makes it a pain to empty without spilling paper everwhere.

Slighty disappointed

I made this purchase to replace another Fellows unit thinking it would help me shred faster and more efficiently than with the older unit...NOW with the new unit I find that the FILL lite is a added feature which was not needed...in my opinion..I had no problems with my older unit getting filled and not knowing.....as far as being able to shred more sheets....I.E. 5 to 7 sheets..the machines seems to stall...I am not very satisfied with the unit. I should have just kept using my older unit....which I am using at this time.

Having gone thru and burned out 2 other shredders, this shredder is fabulous! It is so much faster than the others and it takes so many more sheets! The capacity is much greater, too! Love it!

Very Good SOHO Shredder

You get what you pay for with this one... Did quite a bit of research before I bought a replacement shredder and I've had the 79Ci for about 2 months now and it chews everything I throw at it. If your looking for something that will last and do the job, look no further! Highly recommend the 79Ci!!

Love our new shredder!

I just love our new shredder! It does everything we need it to and more. I especially like the sheet capacity indicator, which keeps you from inserting too much paper at one time and the jam proof system, which really works. The only down side is the small bin fills up way too fast and is messy to empty.
