Good performance and value

My recent purchase of a PS-79Ci resulted from the failure of a 10-year old Fellowes shredder that has been a work horse for daily use in a home office. The PS-79Ci is very quiet compared to the older model and never jams. It has an easy to remove waste bin which makes weekly removal to the trash very simple. I strongly recommend this model for a home office environment.

It is quiet,works very well and has a lot of wonderfull features. Love the easy bin removal and safety features best. Cann't beat it for the price.

I LOVE this shredder!

I just bought this shredder, but had several garbage bags full of papers that I needed to shred. My old shredder had a small basket and a small mouth, so I had to fold all the papers in half to get them into the device and had to empty the basket every ten minutes or so. FRUSTRATING! Anyway, I zipped through my tons of shredding with no problem. I did have to keep emptying the basket, but that was to be expected - I think a 6 gallon basket is great for everyday use. The jam-proof function worked REALLY well - it stopped anytime the material in the basket touched the blades or anytime too many papers were fed into the mouth at one time. NO JAMS! It can handle up to 13 pages at once, so my work was done quickly and the BEST part (which you can't tell from the product descriptions) is that it is SOOO quiet. This huge shredder is much quieter than my little 6-page 1-gallon shredder. The only annoying part is the basket - it has to be pushed in all the way in several places for the shredder to operate. In all other respects though, I love this shredder!

I like the durability and shredder performance. It's hard to jam. Cuts up credit cards with no problem. Very generous waste storage. One small gripe is that the drawer clicks open once in a while during operation and I have to close it a couple of times to get it to continue shredding. Overall a good buy vs performance.

We have used four household shreders with little succuss. The PS-79-Ci now the fifth is by far the best unit we have used. It is easy to use and just keeps on trucking.

Every Job I have ever been involved in where paper shredders are used, there has been a Fellowes there. Never seem to ever have a problem with them. I think that because of my exposure to the Fellowes name they are probably the best and most ecconomical shredder on the market. The safety with these things is incredible. Never hope or plan on using another personal type shredder

Good Shredder

I bought this shredder to replace an older one that became jammed with too many pages. I wanted a shredder that would do a decent number of pages at a time as well as have a good duty cycle, and this one fit the bill. I've used it quite a lot so far and it has performed as advertised, including not accepting an envelope that was too think...it just stopped and backed it out...no jam!
I would recommend this as a good, medium duty shredder for a home office.

This is the first shredder that I have owned and It is living up to my many expectations. The jam proof feature alone is worth the price. I have seen and looked at other shredders before I purchased this model and they don't come near the many features that the PC-79Ci has to offer. I would not hestiate to recommend this shredder to my many friends as I am sure they would be as happy as I am with its peformance,price and reliability.
