I am so glad I purchased this shredder because it has solved all my problems when it comes to saving time in shredding important documents that are paper cliiped and stapled. It use to take me an hour to just get rid of the staples and paper clips. Now I don't have to worry about that. I also love the fact that it shreds CDs and credit cards with no hassles.

Very pleased with all aspects of this unit. Using it to shred home documents, medium amount of use. Does all I ask of it.

Finally, a real shredder

I had been through 3 shredders prior to this purchase - mostly your standard office shredder. After the third break down, I finally had it - I was determinined to find a decent shredder that was not too expensive.
What a nice improvement - quiet, easy to use, easy to dump, and a wonderful machine that handles my whole office shredding need.
I would recommend this shredder to anyone in need.

Quiet and reliable

There is little about this shredder to dislike. The only item about which I can complain is that it it can be difficult to close the drawer that catches the paper while I have a bag installed. If I use a bag, however, it does contain all of the mess.
I am amazed at my inability to jam this shredder. I even sent through some stock with a narrow thick portion, but when I pressed the forward button, it went right through it.
The unit is sufficiently quite that I am able to shred documents while the baby is sleeping. Also, everything is sufficiently contained that I no longer worry about little fingers where they do not belong. Finally, although I have not needed to resort to this, there is a button in the back that I can use to cut all power if a young child becomes unduly interested in the front panel buttons.
I am shredding faster and quieter than ever before. The unit handles enough documents at a time, that it can even handle those occasional large shredding runs with that 150 page document in no time at all.

If you want a powerful yet quiet shredder then remember the Fellowes Model # PS-79Ci. The quality is apparent and it has all the features.
