Overall this is a very good shredder. Quiet and dependable so far, but a little temperamental with the amount of paper going in sometimes. Still, very satisfied so far.
Pros: Safety Features, Quiet Operation, Secure Cut Size, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs
Cons: Mess Reduction

Worth the Money

At first I was reluctant to spend this much for a shredder. I don't really shred that much... until now! I replaced a shredder that seemed to struggle with just a few sheets; and it was loud. You don't realize how loud until you experience the Fellowes. Very Quiet. Handles several sheets easily. CD's and credit cards are no problem. Now I don't throw out anything with my name and address on it without shredding it first and I feel much more secure about my ID.

We are very happy with the new shredder. It has such a quiet operation but also has alot of power. Our previous shredder couldn't hold a candle to this one.

I used this shreader to clean out old paper work that had acumulated over the years. I have sorted it and am shreading it very fast. All should be complete in a couple of days.

Best Shedder money can buy.

I have purchased three shedders in the past two years. All three only lasted a few months. When i purchased this sherreder i knew as soon as i used it the first time it was a high quality machine. The safety feature is great. It sherreds with ease.

a reliable machine

i've had it for about two weeks now and have learned that this is one rugged, productive shredder. i have pushed it to its published limits and it has performed. as you can imagine, there is an inclination to attack lots of paper waste that has accrued - i've just finished shredding about 15 years of reports on heavyweight paper - a stack about 10" tall. the shredder didn't balk, but promptly produced several baskets of high-security waste. i'm using it at home, but i can see how it makes an ideal deskside machine. the basket does have a lot of static cling (dry house) - i'll spray it with a release agent. highly recommend!
