Concern with wheel construction

I could never get the wheels to stay on the machine. The pictoral directions for inserting are simple but the wheels did not stay on the machine. They are very flimsy with poor construction. I do not use the wheels with my shredder so it is not flexible enough to move around in my room.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs
Cons: Safety Features, Quality Construction, wheel construction and stability very poor

Very good but three minor issues...

I really like this machine with the exception of three minor issues. On the upside - its relatively quiet, performs well, and fits well under my desk. My last one was not on wheels, and this one is. Its a small detail but one that's makes it just that much more convenient to access. The three minor issues - first, after emptying and replacing the bin, it doesn't "snap into place" all the time. This trips the safety feature that keeps it from running and I need to jiggle it around to get it back in securely. Second, it comes with plastic bags for the bins (to catch the shredded paper) but the plastic doesn't line the inside bin neatly and gets in the way of closing the bin. Lastly, the casters were really difficult to get to stay in place. They kept falling out every time I turned the machine right-side up. Finally got them to stay after pushing really really hard on them.
Pros: Quiet Operation, Sheet Capacity, Mess Reduction
Cons: fit of bin

So Happy!

I just got this today and I am already thrilled. I went thru a huge stack of shredding in less than 10 minutes with only one mishap, but that was me trying to test the limits. It handled it beautifully. So quiet compared to my old one. My old one kept overheating and could only handle a few pages at a time. It took me up to an hour for the same size stack of paper. So, I am thrilled to have made this purchase. Just wish I could figure out how to put the casters on! Hopefully, there is something on line to help.

Cons: just can't figure out how to install the wheels

Did not like the rollers that came with this. Found out I had to "hammer" them in, which was not in the instructions. Took numerous times to do this before they would stay in. This is my 3rd Fellowes shredder so I hope this one holds up as well as the others.

Just set it up. Very quiet operations. Con could have sturdier body, shreader head seems well constructed.

Everything and More than expected

Out with the old (a broken down competitor), and in with the new (a great Fellowes workhorse). Due to changes of our family, with one member having to sadly leave us, it was time to shred moving receipts, work related documents, bills, income tax forms, legal papers, articles,CDs, credit cards . . . It was like cleaning out and organizing a public library! Powershred® 79Ci 100% Jam Proof Cross-Cut Shredder came to the rescue. Easy on the ears, good looking to the eyes, practical design, and most of all it made our work fun and speedy with no jamming. Best choice ever.

Only got my Fellowes 79Ci shredder yesterday - but had a big pile of documents awaiting it's delivery and set-up as my previous $40 +/- Ativa (sp??) shredder had gone up. Set-up was simple - aside from having a little trouble getting the casters to lock. Found the trick was to wiggle a little bit and then a quick, deliberate push (or wack)... Anyway - it went through the pile easily and quickly; filled the basket up twice. The capacity indicator is a great feature - really helped me to guage the # of sheets as I went. Can't tell you how much I appreciate a good quality shredder that can go through the volume of documents this one did yesterday with zero (0) hiccups. No way the cheap one I had previously would have accomplished that - even when it was operating at it's best. Well worth the money provided it lasts at least a few years.
