glad I bought up

After reading the reviews of a shredder I intended to buy, I increased my purchase a little to get this brand. The reviews on the store brand were terrible. I am finding this model very capable for my minimal usage. It is very sturdy for the small price.
Pros: Quality Construction, Jam Resistance, Safety Features, Quiet Operation, Secure Cut Size, Shreds Credit Cards, Staples and CDs

Love this Shredder

This shredder is really quiet - compared to my old one, it runs beautifully. The gauge on the side is great to let you know if you're trying to stuff too much in it - it kind of gives you the EYE! I do quite a bit of shredding & my time spend is minimal now. The pull out bucket in the front is very convenient & the window lets you know when to dump. Let me just say "Shredding has never been as much Fun"

KEEP ON SHREDDING

I purchased the PS-79Ci because it was small enough to fit under my desk where it could function as both a shredder and waste basket, plus I read good reviews on a resellers’ website. I am very happy with the choice. I have had the shredder about a year and it has performed superbly. I give the PS-79Ci a drink of Fellowes’ Shredder Oil every week or two and it handles the shredding chores quietly and safely.
However, I abused the PS-79Ci Memorial Day. Keep in mind that that this is a PS = Personal Shredder. I had to shred some of private papers, about 100 pounds of them. I shredded these papers all evening and into the night. I would guess about 6 or 7 hours. After shredding about 95 pounds of copy paper, or about two, forty gallon plastic garbage bags full, a red light went on and the shredder refused to shred. Oops, the manual says “Overheat”. I thought I “fried” the motor, which with most other shredders, I would have. So, I unplugged the shredder and went to bed.
When I got up the next morning I plugged the PS-79Ci back in. It worked and has been working like a new machine ever since. AWESOME. Can you guess what brand name shredders I recommend to folks?

My Best Shredder Ever

Great Purchase

The Fellowes shredder is the third shredder I have purchased in 4 years. The other two shredders which were not Fellowes just didn't last. They were noisy and the quality was not good. I am very satisfied with my current shredder and I hope to use it for many years.

I bought this shredder because we have a lot of items to shred and I was tired of buying on every year. I have had no problems what so ever and would highly recommend this model to any one. It is fast effecient and quiet.

Best purchase

The last 2 years, I 've gone through 3 "cheap" shedders; they jammed or broke down. Frustating.
I only have this shredder for 4 weeks, and am quite pleased with its performance. It is worth the expense and I recommend it.
What I do not like is the design of the bin that holds bags: when I pull it out to remove full bags, paper strips fall over on the flloor.. a mess to clean each time. Any suggestion?
