Excellent Purchase

I have owned a number of shredders previous to this one. Never fully appreciated how noisy they were until I tried the Fellows PS 79Ci. Its quiet operation allows one to be shredding and still hear the radio in our home office. Solidly constructed, with good capacity that doesn't require frequent emptying this was a great addition to our home office environment.

Some minor faults

I wish it cut more finely, but it's the best I've seen for a price home users can afford. I also get a little frustrated by the sensitivity of the sensor which cuts it off when a hand is to near the feed opening and the fact that the viewing window doesn't let you see when it's waste bin is actually full.

the container and bag for the shredded material could be better; it lets shredded material get behind the bag and makes a mess when trying to extract it to throw away

Love this Shredder!

This shredder is very quiet compared to others that we have used. It handles a reasonable amount of paper and lets you know if you put too much paper into it to begin with so that you don't end up with a jam. If the papers go crooked and double up the volume being shredded, the shredder powers through it without jamming up. The safety features work well and it also handles credit card and CD's very nicely.
I would definitely recommend this shredder!!!

very east to use

my classroom uses this shredder everyday. It is very useful, practical. My students have autism and love to see the paper go down in the shredder. Plus the noise is constant, which autistic individuals like. The only thing that I don't like is it can only be used for about 12 minutes before it has to be shut down to prevent the motor from overheating.

Our new Fellows shredder is by far the best shredder we have over owned, not one jam and believe me we really put it to the test daily....jk

We are a small Company, when I got here there were years of old paperwork that needed shredding and so far it's been great, no jamming, it has been as good as promised. I really appreciate the reviews because that's how I chose this shredder due to all the reviews. I read many many reviews
