machine works well. has not shut off for cooling because i typically use 5-10 pgs for shredding. not the full amt. it is pretty quick and very quiet.
Pros: Jam Resistance, Quiet Operation, Safety Features, Sheet Capacity

Very Disappointed

All the reviews on this were great so I decided to spend the money to get one, Got it home and it doesn't work. Says the door is open, NO matter what I did, I couldn't get it to go green. Need to return this and am hesitant to even get the same item. I was looking for something bigger, quiet and better than my little shredder I have from Staples. Super disappointed
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Huge upgrade over previous basic shredder

Great shredder! I have been used to using < $100 basic home shredders, so this is a huge upgrade. The sturdy metal shredding teeth are much more durable than cheaper machines. The 16 sheet capacity makes bigger jobs quicker. The features of the Safesense (turns off motor if fingers touch feed slot) and Jam Proof (automatic reversing and refeeding if a jam is detected) are not necessary, but add to the worry free and speedy operation of the machine. I am very happy that this time I replaced my shredder with a tougher machine!

This product is supposed to be jam proof but as soo as I used it it jammed a few times. Not sure what is going on.

The Fellowes 79Ci shredder is new to me but I had a backlog to shred. It handled paper, envelopes, credit card fed gently for 20 minutes. I was quite pleased. And it rolls so I can store it and roll it out to shred.. Very convenient! Only issue is the plastic piece over the credit card shredding opening is stuck in place and I had. to use the paper entry instead of the credit card entry to shred the credit cards. Otherwise, I'm very pleased with this purchase. Also, it was easy to assemble and instructions were clear.

Cons: can't move the plastic over the credit card entry

I was wondering if this model will be good enough for what I need to do and will grow with our business. So I went ahead and bought this model. It is not only very durable, but it's keeping up with my demands. I'm very happy that I bought this product.
