Excellent Shredder!!

I purchased this shredder to replace a similar model (PS80C-2) that I have been using for the past 15 or so years. This 79Ci does an excellent job and seems to be as reliable as the old one. For the price, I don't think you can find a better shredder, especially for home use.

A good value for the price

I bought this to replace one i burned up. I like that I don't need to lift off the top to empty the bin. It just slides out. it does pretty good on Jam Resistance but it does bog down if you put too much in.

Quiet and Reliable, so far.

I've only had this for a couple of weeks. But, so far, so good! I bought this shredderi to replace my old Champion shredder that broke after 10 years of good service. I use it in my home office, so it wont be used very much. I seldom shred more than a few (less than 10) sheets of paper at a time. Thus far the 79Ci does the job well. Positives are it's much quieter than my old shredder, about the same dimensions and will process more sheets at one time than my shredder. I, also, like the fact that it powers off, automatically, if it's left on. No negatives, so far.

Great replacement shredder

Our older Fellowes shedder finally had to be retired, because the bin broke and couldn't be replaced. Otherwise we wouldn't have needed to replace it, as it was still going strong after over 15 years of great service. This newer model is every bit as good, indeed better, as it has improved features. Though seemingly a minor matter, the caster feet are a great addition. The Powershred 79Ci also looks great. Looking forward to many years of continued great service from it.

Huge improvement over the HSM Shredder shredstar x10

This Fellowes shredder appears to have a stronger cutter motor than the HSM shredder it replaced. This shredder has all the bells and whistles that one could ask for in a desk side shredder. It also has a convenient waste bin that is easy to pull out so that it can be emptied without having to worry about getting paper shredding everywhere. Thanks Fellowes for making such a reliable and convenient shredder.

Good Quality Machine

We haven't had the machine very long, so time will tell how long it actually lasts. However, it seems to be a very solid, good quality machine. So far, we like how it operates and looks, and it is much more quiet than our previous shredder.The addition of waste bags will reduce mess, however, they add to environmental waste. We will likely not use bags.
