My JOLLYGoodFELLOW! Powerful,Sturdy, Discreet,Reliable Year 2-ish

This is my trusty identity guard dog. Small enough to discreetly tuck away under my kitchen desk without being an eyesore. Just a little kick and he glides into position, ready for heavy duty. Survived a cord-snag induced header onto stone floor. He spits out what he can't chew most of the time. Handles unopened credit card offers with the card. inside. No other brand of shredder I've owned lasted this long or performed this reliably. It came with clear bags so, I don't dread opening it. The price is worth the peace of mind compared to the cost of ID theft.

Office workhorse

We like these shredders so much we purchased 3 more after we've had our first one for at least 5 years, which by the way is still going strong. We do so much shredding that we decided everyone in the office needed one desk side. You can shred quite a few pieces at one time. We get so much junk mail we need to shred it and we don't even have to open the mail, just feed the entire envelope through and it handles it like a champ.

Sturdy and powerful little shredder

The feature I like the most is how quiet this machine is. It's not silent, but definitely not as loud as some other shredders. Just received the machine and tried it out a little bit. Very smooth operation but haven't had much opportunity for jamming at this time. I also like that there are wheels because for a small machine it's not super light. Came with 3 bags and some machine oil.

I bought this shredder to replace my old machine which was over 10 years old. I didn't realize what I was missing until I bought this machine. This unit is fast, quiet and efficient. I had gotten so use to the jams and high pitch noise from my old machine, I never knew such quiet could be obtained from a shredder.

looks like the head is built well. I was surprised at how much the shredder head weighs. I expect this to last me a life time with a small to medium volume shredded

I purchased this Fellowes 79Ci Crosscut Shredder because my previous shredder, a single cut Fellowes shredder finally died. The shredder had worked well for about 3 years before it It had a lightening caused electrical short that fried the electric transformer in the wall. I replaced it with a variable transformer from Radio Shack, and it worked fine for another 8 years.before it jammed on a stapled over thick packet of paper. I never even thought of purchasing any other brand the a new Fellowes! So, I logically thought of a cross cut machine that could cut staples--when necessary--as will as CD's,old credit cards, and 16 sheets of paper at one time. Great product!
